Dearborn Company Update (Neverwinter Guild)

On January 19th​​ and 20th, brave adventurers of the Dearborn company once again set out to help protect the world from evil powers lurking within. These are a select few retellings of events that transpired.


The guild hall and town were attacked by fungus infested zombies! One​​ party was then hired by the town guard to discover the cause and eliminate it. They tracked the plague to patient zero and discovered he came from a mining town to the east. In the town, they rescued the owner of the mining company and raided the company headquarters for a map of the mines where the plague came from,​​ killing all the zombies trapped in the vault and burning the building to the ground. They then traveled​​ into the mine to find it infested with mycanids and a warforged spore Druid. They succeeded in their quest by driving it deeper into the mine and sealing it. Although,​​ the Dearborn company may not have seen the last of it…



Another party was sent into a recently discovered dungeon. They ended up fighting and defeating eight zombies with minimal casualties. Only one creature was knocked out. After that, and a series of triggered traps and failed dismantling, the party reached the tomb lord's crypt. Upon confronting the wraith the bardic duo calmed his evil heart. When asked what the party sought they replied simply, “knowledge”. Thus, a series of riddles was used instead of weapons. After besting the tomb lord he bestowed upon​​ them treasure and an item of unknown origin and power. The Guild then confiscated the artifact for the guild's treasury. 


Yet another group​​ was​​ lead to the desert domain controlled by Anubis.​​ There, he offered a deal for the​​ adventurers. If​​ they accepted they gained the favor of the god of death. Anubis summoned the players to seek out the help of the guardians of western dusk and eastern dawn. With an​​ amulet they fought through​​ Set’s defense and killed an​​ everlasting giant and found an​​ unbreaking arrow. Then released the guardians to help Anubis kill Set and gain control of the desert and death. Anubis rewarded the players greatly.

Dearborn Company Update (Silverymoon Guild)


01.19.2019 — Members of the Dearborn Company answered a call for help from the Church of Kelemvor. The burial grounds known as Ebon Downs we’re the source of horrors that over ran the village of Grimhallow many years ago. The dead rose and wreaked havoc. Few villagers survived. Today Grimhallow is a shadow of the village it once was. But, people still scratch a living from the earth and an inn on the outskirts of the village does a brisk business with those traveling the route from Silverymoon to Yartar.
Evil is again showing itself. The dead are stirring. A lone Doomguide of the Church of Kelemvor and a small cadre of priests are all that stand between the risen dead and land of the living. The Church’s resources have been stretched thin. Those standing vigil over Ebon Down were ill prepared and three priests went missing in the main crypt. Six stalwart adventurers heard the call and went forth to aid the church. Koss the Elvin cleric, Aram the human cleric, Daniel the fighter, Zargabaath the human paladin and a nameless Elvin ranger arrived in Ebon Downs and met with Doomguide Soulhearth. After learning of magical seals and braziers that shine with the light of Kelemvor, the party entered the crypt.
The adventurers proved their mettle, battling the undead found massing in the crypt. Bards will sing of their strong sword arms and dangerous magics, along with sharp minds for strategy, that allowed them to prevail. The stories will omit the repeated fumbles, dropped weapons and armor covered in vomit.
The party returned the broken seals to Father Soulhearth for repair and cleansed the crypt of the walking dead.


 01.19.2019 — Adventurer’s from the Dearborn Company — the archer Lylic, Tiefling sorcerer Malik Mourningstar, and paladin of Tyr “Warden,” as well as new recruits Aasimar, an elf bard, Ater Navonod, a dragonborn bard, and Rolen Galinndon, a half-elf wizard — were assigned to venture to the tomb of Radomir van Drogbar at the Great Tor in the Evermoors, to recover a weighty tome at the request of an apprentice of an apprentice of an apprentice, etc., of his by the name of Gillespie.
 En route to the tomb, the party was ambushed by a pack of wolves. Only the wizard Rolen realized what was happening before the wolves dashed in, but the adventurers were able to slay or drive off all of the wolves. Upon locating Radomir van Drogbar’s tomb, the paladin “Warden” used his divine sense to detect undead within. Inside, they battled skeletal guardians and an immaterial shadow monster. The party recovered van Drogbar’s tome, which was bound with a lock, and “Warden” liberated a magical shield from the tomb.
Upon returning to Silverymoon, the party learned van Drogbar was the most famous chef in all of Luruar, and the tome was his cookbook. Gillespie had hired the Dearborn Company to recover it so he could settle a dispute over the ingredients in pastry dough.


01.19.2019 — After receiving a missive for a job, Company members Gigget the Fake (Gnome Ranger), Thrash the Half Orc Monk, Zora the human Bard, Bulgol the dwarven cleric, and newest member Deliverance-of-joy-to-the-people ‘D’Livvy’ the Tiefling paladin were assigned to go and check on the enchanter Helgaba. They arrived at the house and with a little inspection realized the house has stood empty for at least a week. Bulgol, Gigget and Thrash learned the hard way to not help them selves to the house’s goods when a broom started beating them up while they attempted to make a sandwich and steal cereal. They learned from their actions quickly after coming back to consciousness and while they explored, their fingers were noticeably nonsticky. They followed the path up to Helgaba’s upstairs and discovered her workshop. They stumbled upon two imps trying to escape and beat up one but the other escaped. A little more searching, they found the home owner trapped in a pocket dimension mirror and with a little insight were able to get her free. Helgaba thanked them for their help and isn’t even mad about the broken window that Thrash jumped through.

Dearborn Company Update (Silverymoon Guild)

These are the recent adventures of the Silvery Moon chapter (McPherson, KS) of Dearborn company, a guild of adventurers in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.


A party of new Dearborn Company recruits–a hulking Goliath named Lo, a Minotaur protector of nature Radolak, a roguish Halfling that prefers the moniker The Almighty Roche, a pair of warrior priests Grounst and Stor Blackstone, the gold Dragonborn knight Balazar, and the novice wizard Brooks–were sent to deal with an infestation of Kobolds that had taken up in an abandoned watch tower on the lands of a local minor lord named Balder a day’s ride east of Silverymoon. The new recruits made short work of the Kolbold’s numerous defenses, and in their search of the tower found the body of a former Dearborn member who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances months prior. On their return, they were accosted by two lieutenants of House Balder, Sluggo and Rotter, probing for information on what they found in the tower, but a direct confrontation between the Guild and the men of Balder was ultimately avoided. No casualties were suffered, and the corpse of the long-dead Dearborn member as well as his gear and last testament were handed over to Quartermaster Jory for further investigation.


The Dragonborn warrior Red, the dwarf storm-priest Bulgol, the foreign battle priest Aram, the smooth-talking bard Zora, the archer Lylic, and the elf ranger Gaeron — were dispatched to the nearby city of Everlund with a letter for an old adventuring companion of one of the guild masters, seeking to recruit him as chief alchemist and potion master for the Dearborn Company. When they arrived in Everlund, they learned the alchemist, by the name of Xepher, was jailed, accused of criminal negligence in an explosion and fire that devastated an entire block. Believing Xepher’s pleas of innocence, the party set out to clear his good name, ultimately uncovering a conspiracy to frame the alchemist by an old nemesis, the dwarf brigand, Worvil “The Weevil,” now apparently aligned with the Black Network

A detachment of new operatives are being heralded as heroes this weeks for their part in returning several missing children to their families this week. Among those being honored we salute: the pious half-elf Innil So-Kehar, the nimble fingered Jaquen Noir-ku, gifted Tiefling sorcerer Malik Morningstar, a Tiefling warlock who wished to be known simply as Ekemon, a Holy warrior answering to the name Judge Zargabaath, and the melodious Halfling Astor Greenbottle. This group investigated the disappearance of a young girl by the name of Tyss Endmore, daughter of a wealthy merchant, and using an as of yet unnamed source managed to interpret a pattern. Once a pattern was established the learned of a nearby smuggler’s hideout from an Anonymous informant, and upon investigating managed to recover the young girl, along with a half-dozen others. Although there appears to be some complications involved with collecting the bounty for young Tyss (believed caused by a recently excommunicated operative), this was still a job deserving of recognition. In the course of investigating this situation the group stumbled onto a small kid-napping ring and dealt with them as needed, though they uncovered evidence that perhaps this group were simply acting at the behest of a third party. We have informed the authorities that should further investigation be warrant we will eagerly await their summons.

A party of six adventurers was contracted through the Dearborn Company to investigate the theft of bodies from a cemetery in a small town outside of Silverymoon. The players investigated the cemetery at night and quarreled with several persons there who were engaged in a duel. They later constructed a fake body and held a funeral for it then hid out in the cemetery at night to catch the body thieves. While laying-in-wait the group heard the sound of digging coming from beneath them and dug into a nearby grave, finding a tunnel that led downwards, they followed the tunnel which led them into a catacomb. Exploring the catacomb they came to a large chamber which was the lair of a pack of ghouls. The party defeated three ghouls and a ghast. They returned to the priest with the head of the ghast and were rewarded for solving the mystery. Before returning to Silverymoon, they saw several lights in the cemetery at night, which turned out to be the groundskeeper of the cemetery and two other men who were trying to steal the decoy body that the party had buried on the previous day. The group apprehended the thieves and through intimidation got them to admit their crime of stealing freshly dead bodies and selling them as cadavers to a local medical school. The thieves were turned over to the authorities and the group sold their loot and paid the contract fee to the Dearborn Company.

Dearborn Company Update (Neverwinter Guild)

Last weekend, the brave adventurers of the Dearborn Guild found themselves yet again on a number of great adventures – These are a select few of the tales.​​ 

One group found themselves imprisoned to serve the mystic mages of Zanthros. After 5 days of no food or water, they were able to uncover a magical dagger to help them take out the guards & gather their items back. However, before they escaped, they were able to find and defeat the powerful Zanthros. The party escaped safely, and others must return soon to help save the other prisoners!

Another group traveled to the town of Wee-bot in an attempt to find the best ale around, but while doing so heard rumors of a nearby ancient castle with plenty of loot. However, kids attempting to get it themselves had accidentally collapsed a tunnel, trapping them inside. The party set off to the castle to earn the loot & try to save the kids,​​ but they faced a horde of undead led by Dur Darith, a powerful necromancer who serves the Archangel of Necromancy, Velsharoon, also known as Mellifleur. They freed him, however, from his magically trapped prison & is now free to roam the world.​​
